How You Can Support Us
HEAD Nepal is a small organization that has just started activities. Therefore we are happy about any kind of support to develop and extend our programme. To those who are interested in joining HEAD in one way or another, here are ways you can become involved:
Financial SupportHead Nepal has recently set up a residential programme to provide intensive training for blind and partially sighted students. We require funds to keep this programme running, e.g. for
- Renovation of premisses
- Furniture and other equipment
- Learning materials
- Food and accommodation for the children
- Clothes/dresses, and hygienic materials for the children
- Medications and treatment for the children
Sponsor the education of a blind child
In the residential programme, currently 25 blind and partially sighted children are being trained and they will be prepared for effective studies in regular mainstream education. This is a way for them to break the cycle of illiteracy and to open the gateway to a successful and bright future. With EUR 30 per month you ensure education, food and shelter for a blind or partially sighted child. If you would like to see our children profiles please visit here
Support for Mobile School:
In order to educate more children with disabilities in rural villages, we will be running mobile school from March 2016. Additional horses are needed both to carry teachers, tents, Braille kits and other supplies necessary to operate the mobile schools.
As a follow on project of the Mobile School, from September 2016 we will start a residential educational center for 20 children with physical/mobility disability at Simikot Humla and we need fund to keep this project running.
